The investment scam with a famous face
An ad with a famous person promises fast profit from investing or crypto. After the first deposit a "broker" calls, and the money never comes back.

What the ad looks like
A well-known businessman reveals how to earn 1,000 € a day. Start with 250 €: hxxps://fast-profit-now[.]online
What actually happens
The ad is fake: the famous person's photo and the "article" are forged. After you sign up, a friendly "broker" calls. He helps you make a first deposit and shows how it "grows" — those are just numbers on a screen. Then he asks for more money, for "fees", or for you to install an app that lets him control your computer. You cannot take your money out.
Later, "lawyers" may call and offer to get your money back for a fee. They are the same fraudsters.
How to recognise it in three seconds
- It promises big, guaranteed profit — real investments never promise that.
- The ad shows a famous person whose photo was used without permission.
- The "broker" calls you and rushes you: "this offer is only for today".
What to do
- Do not tap the link in the ad.
- Do not give the "broker" any codes and do not install his apps.
- Check that the company is licensed on the Bank of Lithuania's website (lb.lt — type the address yourself).
If you already invested
- Do not send any more money — even if they say it is "to withdraw your money".
- Call your bank and report it to the police on 112.
